A community built by Persians in tech, for Persians in tech — and everyone who wants to grow with us.

Our Story

We are a platform where Persian speakers in the Netherlands come together not only to discuss tech and entrepreneurship, but also to empower each other and offer support through their skills, network, and knowledge — to help others' dreams come true.

With the immigration of many Persians as high-skilled professionals in tech in recent years, we asked ourselves how we could be helpful. Starting in 2022, Roham, Niloofar, and Sepide founded Persians in Tech Berlin United (PITBU). In 2023, we launched Persians in Tech Canada United with Saeed's help, and Persians in Tech Netherlands United with Armita — and soon in your country, by you!

Vision

  • To connect Persians already working in tech, or who aspire to do so in the future.
  • To empower Persians on their professional and personal journey in the Netherlands.

Mission

  • Connect its members through formal and informal gatherings on a regular basis — panel discussions, hackathons, Christmas market visits, dinner parties, async channels (Slack, LinkedIn), and much more.
  • Empower its members professionally & personally — mentoring, soft-skill and tech-skill workshops, job fairs, focus groups, and more.
  • Enable and support members to contribute — new event series, content focus groups, speaker roles, supporting other events, sharing open jobs, mentoring, and more.

Good to know

Everybody is welcome! Persians in tech are simply our niche — tech professionals who might have similar needs. We need everyone to empower our community.
It depends on the event — we usually note it in the description. Since the professional language for most of us is English, we try to keep it in English. But if you're not confident with English, no worries: give it a try and join our event.
Working in tech includes people with a specific tech job (e.g. software engineer) or a non-tech job in the tech industry (e.g. HR at Google). You're also welcome if you're not working in tech but want to start a tech-related career.
Join our events! If you, your company, or someone in your network wants to help, contact us. You can be a speaker, share your knowledge with our community, sponsor us for a venue, or collaborate in any other way.
