About us

Our Story

We are a platform where Persian speakers in the Netherlands come together not only to discuss tech and entrepreneurship but also to empower each other and offer support through their skills, network, and knowledge to support others' dreams.

With the immigration of lots of Persians as high-skilled professionals in tech in recent years, we were thinking about how we can be helpful. Starting in 2022, @Roham, @Niloofar, and @Sepide founded the Persians in Tech Berlin United (PITBU). In 2023, we launched the Persians in Tech Canada United with @Saeed’s help and the Persians in Tech Netherlands United with @Armita, and soon in your country by @You!

  • To connect Persians already working in tech* or who aspire to do so in the future;

  • To empower Persians on their professional and personal journey in the Netherlands,

Vision

Mission

  • Connect its members through various formal and informal gatherings on a regular basis (e.g. panel discussions, hackathons, Christmas market visits, dinner parties, asynchronous communication channels (slack, LinkedIn), and much more)

  • Empower its members professionally & personally (e.g. mentoring, workshops (soft-skill + tech-skills), job fairs, focus groups, and much more)

  • Enable and support members to contribute to the network (e.g. offer new event series, lead content focus groups, take on speaker roles, support at other events, inform about open jobs, take on mentor roles, and much more).

  • I understand that PITNU! Is not a political or religious organization and therefore I will not bring up political or religious discussions within the network.

  • I understand that PITNU!’s success is based on reciprocity. Therefore, as a member, I am willing to contribute to the network, in form of active participation and offering my knowledge and support.

FAQs

  • Everybody is welcome! Persians in Tech are just our niche market to help tech professionals who might have similar needs. We need everyone to empower our community.

  • It depends on the event. We usually write in the description of the event. But since for most of us, the professional language is English, we will try to keep it professional. But if you are not confident with English, no worries, give it a try and join our event.

  • Working in tech includes people who have a specific tech job (e.g. software engineer) or who have a non-tech job in the tech industry (e.g. HR at Google). Also, you are welcome if you are not working in tech but might want to start a tech-related career.

  • Join our events! If you, your company, or someone from your network might want to help, contact us. You can be a speaker, share your knowledge with our community, Sponsor us for the venue, or any other collaboration.
